I don't seek approval, it's just nice to know what people think of you -- good or bad. Do I care what people think of me? OF COURSE I DO, but that doesn't make me an "insecure bimbo" as ENTITY2000 so firmly put it.

I could see if you were with a girl and you guys have a good relationship and lets say she gets irritated when you...I don't know, crack your knuckles or something. Changing that is completely understandable, but I'd never change myself to make some guy at work happier or to please somebody on a message board.

It might sting a little finding out somebody has a problem with you or even hates you, but if you act this way around certain people to make them happy and another way around a different group of people to make them happy ect. ect. You'll end up forgetting who the hell you were to begin with and spend your life making other people happy. Some people are gonna be cool with and some aren't, that's just how it works.
