Bugs don't phase me, I'd rather not have them in my food mind you, but if that statistic is true, the one regarding the number of spiders you swallow in your sleep annually, an ant here or there won't hurt me.

Wait wait wait. So how many spiders DO we swallow in a year? What are the numbers on that?

And what's the deal? Do spiders just crawl around you and then think "Ah, moisture! I sense moisture! Haven't had a drink in a while...think I'll go over there and get me some of that" and then they just crawl in your mouth or up yer nose or something?

I know spiders are always looking for something because I have often found them crawling on me in a dark room......you can almost hear them thinking something, like "Now here's a great big bag of warm blood. How am I supposed to get a drink of that. I'll try biting it here. No, here. No, here. God dammit! That blood is in there, I just can't get to the mother lode. Goddamn human! I'll show that sonofabitch one day. I'll keep growing and one day I'll be as big as he is and then I'll come back and give him the fang o'plenty...the fang-o-matic. Just you wait, sucker!"

lol Who enjoys watching an insect on someone's food, man?!

I once offered my friends a pitcher of juice drink with a floating spider on it..Glad, I noticed it first. I just took the poor creature and served the drink back. :)

But really, how can claims on one internet site discredit claims circulated by more or less saying "you can't believe anything you read on the internet."
Hardly lends credibility...all the same, I personally never believed it. Living in Australia, maybe one or two in my lifetime yeah...but 8 a year? ha.

As for their being bug fragments within wheat based products, this is a reality we just have to live with. I'm ok with bug fragments that have been processed to the point they're a fine powder and more than likely chemically treated anyhow...
Not to mention, those bugs eat grain...they're full of grain, they spend time on the grain...rather than chasing after OUR food fragments, discarded filth, garbage, and shit. By comparison, the idea of those kind of bugs being likely to be found ground into grain based products is much less daunting to me.
