About Cannibal Holocaust, this was banned because the dead people in it looked so real right? Thank god it wasn't might i say, but weren't there dead animals? It was a good film though...:D

The ifferutable realism of the animal deaths might have driven some souls to the conclusion the human deaths could therefore also be real... but it's a stretch.

More probable is that the film was so widely cut and banned because of the animal deaths, the distribution of footage of which would be illegal in many territories.

Many people thought - and still think - that the staged 'monkey brains' sequence in Faces of Death is genuine, for example.

People do die in Cannibal Holocaust, but not because of the film.

Inexorably snotty encyclopediac (i.e. look it up on Google) film buffs like the afrementioned "freak" are always going to mount the high horse, since their discoveries and 'understandings' of such feared films count as great achievements and can be used to gleefully berate the casual enquirer and trumpet astounding revelations. This is particularly common of 'fake-reality' films, since the discovery of the ruse might suggest a shrewd mentality.

Okay, now re-read the rest of the thread where you already said this and I already responded to it telling you to quit taking stuff out of context because what I was actually asking there was whether or not that was what zwoti was actually saying, not whether or not that was what actually happened.

The prosecution may have rested, but they sure as fuck got their asses handed to them in court because they didn't know what they were talking about.
