Holy crap!!!! They are always teaching us in school when some one proclaims they're going to do something they normally never do it is a cry for attention or help..The ones that never say anything are the ones that are more prone to do the damage... Im really glad you did what you did allmykids GREAT JOB!!!

i just wanted to thank u guys for what you did for that freddy kid last night, i'm a teacher in the next town down the river and we had a kid go nuts last year with a gun at school., unfortunately he died as well as someone else, whoever called you did the absolute right thing do it again the rest of you you talked through a really bad situation and made something good happen horror fans everywhere should bow down great job he will get the help he needs now THANK YOU from alot of people here in PA

I was alerted by a desktop notification about a local kid and followed the info to this website. I applaude you all for trying to talk this kid down.

12-Year-Old Allegedly Threatens School Killing Spree
Knife Found In School Backpack

POSTED: 3:59 p.m. EST December 9, 2003

LANCASTER, Pa. -- A 12-year-old boy is being evaluated after allegedly threatening to go on a killing spree at school Tuesday.

Pittsburgh police were alerted Monday night to a posting on the Web site www.horror.com.

The posting by Freddy Fan reads: "I really am. I'm going to kill my teacher tommorrow and a lot of other people in my school. I'll probably kill a lot of people."

Police contacted the Internet service provider and were able to locate the address of boy.

The West Earl Police Department in Leola searched the boy's residence and found a large knife in his school backpack. He was taken into custody at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday.

The boy's name and school he attends have not been released.

Hats off to allmykids on this one! I was unnerved by freddyfan's posts, but unsure if I should call anyone about it. When I saw that allmykids was already on it, I was relieved. It's so tough to tell real threats from posturing and posing on message boards. It'll definitely make me pay much closer attention if I see any threatening posts in the future.

ROCK ON man, thanx alot. we all tried very hard to talk him down from it and be there for him on a level nobody else seemed to be. The applause should be held for allmykids tho, nothing would have been prevented without his/her help.

I wanted to thank Allmykids for everything. That was a very brave thing you did. A lot of people would get caught in the wave of, 'oh...it's only a cry for attention'. Kudos to you for taking that extra step.

When we see 12 year olds who are acting out like this, our first thought is that they couldn't be serious. Who knows whether not this kid would have actually used that knife but the point is, it's never right to even threaten.

Again, Allmykids and everyone who tried to talk some sense into this kid and educate him that it just wasn't right to even think the things he did, THANK YOU from a person who has an 11 and 13 year old daughter.

I dont know what you guys think but personally I think as a mark of respect to his parents we should no longer discuss freddyfan and what might or might not be going through his head

I his parents have gone through alot of distres and shock today and my sympathy goes out to them as I cannot begin to imagine what I would feel if it was one of my family members
