I watched it and enjoyed the show, I hate reality shows but this one deals in horror so I had to watch.

1. I have a question? How does a sci fi script make into the final 3 in a show that is supposed to be about horror? The time travel script sounded kool but I didnt think it could be horror.

2. I think they picked the right director, the guy may have a communication problem but I dont necessarily think that means he has a lack of vision. The short films of his that I saw I really enjoyed and thought they were interesting and above a freshman filmmaker.

3. The script "Feast" sounds like a B movie, straight to video film. Of course Dimension likes it, they have ZERO vision and are only looking at what is easily marketable and is going to be bring about a quick buck. Maybe I am wrong but a campy horrorcom that takes place in a roadhouse in the middle of nowhere sounds a little to much to me like "Tremors" which I thought was a great film. I forsee alot of rewriting going on and the original script being gutted.

4. Wildcard sounded interesting, I was really disappointed that they didnt pick it and I didnt get to hear more about it. Wes seemed to like it, I believe I heard him say that he would like to direct it. I dont understand why they would bring him on board if the studio isnt going to listen to his input. I wonder how he feels about putting his name on something that he may or may not be comfortable with.

I missed the first couple of minutes so I wasen't sure what "Wild Card" was all about.Wes Craven did indeed like the script, so much in fact he bought it, according to the blog on the PGL website.

I was also rooting for the director they picked, even though he does seem a little odd.I believe he is Clu Gulager's[Return of the Living Dead ] son.Its going to be interesting watching the studio people butt heads with Matt Damon, whom really seems to want to make a good movie.

Craven bought the script???? No shit, I could tell that he really liked it. Hell I think that is better than having Dimension pick it up.

I didnt even make the connection with Gulager, he seems to be a little quirky but I think that he is going to a great job with the shitty script that they handed him.

I am not a big fan of Damon/Affleck but they seem like they are really interested in making a good film.

Did you catch the part where Damon tells studio execs, that 'you have the master of horror sitting 2 feet away and he is telling you that this script fucking sucks' he was speaking of "Feast"

I think it is going to be an interesting season watching these guys argue over how the film is going to be made.

That was a great line from Damon. I think the script writers are in for a rude awakening. From the looks of the previews for next week there are gonna be some major rewrites.

I totally agree, I got the feeling that also. If I was the writer I would kind of expect some changes in my script but from what I see I think it is going to be major surgery.

I remember someone saying on the show that they had like 17 or 18 characters in the first 20 mins.

Sounds like a miniseries not a hour and a half movie.

Way too many characters to develop so that will probably be the first to go.

Plus I think it would be difficult to make a monster horror film on a low budget without making it look cheesy and stoopid.

I am unsure what CGI cost but am sure that you cant get quality CGI done on this kind of budget.

I watched the screenwriter and director episodes last night...

"Feat" sounds like an even shittier "From dusk til dawn". the writer who did the talking was obnoxious. anyone who says "Rock on" and means it should be shot. The idea just blows, i am in 100% agreement with craven on this...

Wes was the one who said that it intropduced 20 characters in the first 15 minutes....

The dimension execs piss me off. I was furious listening to them try to convince themseleves that the script was "pretty good" and that they werent just signing it because it was certain to make back what they put into it... fucking greedy assholes.

Ben Affleck is a bit of a pussy. you can tell he wanted to agree with matt, but was to afraid to voice an opinion that was too extreme one way or another.

Matt Damon has my unending repsect. he has balls, and i have agreed with everything he has said so far.

What kills me is that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote a movie that won a fucking oscar. As much as i cant stand Ben, they both routinely make blockbusters, but the "geniuses" at Dimension who have been churning out quite a bit of shit for a while, refuse to listen to them.

And wes craven... Granted, i dont particularly care for most of what he has done, he knows his shit, and i would definately take his advice if he offered it. Plus, he is just damn likeable. he and matt damon are the only people on the show that really seem dedicate dto making something good. Ben waffles too much and the rest of the peopel dont give a fuck unless they think the project will make them a ton of money (which matt points out is NOT the goal of the show......)
