BAck in the early 90s, Venom (from spiderman) had his first solo series called "Lethal Enforcer" (or something to that effect).

I had a mint condition copy of the first issue i had just bought the day it came out (the series sucked, but i still have all of them). it was sitting next to me on the coffee table, and my mom put her drink on it like it was a coaster.

I glared at her and said "Mom... your drink?"

"What?"

"Mom, that comic cot me $3 and was worth 6 the second i paid for it...."

"oops, I'm sorry honey..."

it didnt leave any marks on it, but i made godamn sure my family didnt get anywhere near anything of value to me with food or drink....

do you guys remember that milton bradly board game .. a dungeons and dragons type deal ...

there were tons of green and white plastic figures, furniture ..etc ..

they go for a fair buck on ebay ...

I bought one at a junk store to sell on ebay .. then i found another - same store months later .. mint !
the little green monsters, etc were still stuck to the plastic frames ..

a used one was worth aboyt $50 .. i'd never seen a mint one sold..

i get it home and two days later i find my kid, popping the figures out of the frame .. i could have cried ..

my own stupid fault though
LOL I had that happen also not with the board game but, when they re-released the original Star Wars trilogy in the movie theaters here when Jedi was released they gave away these limited edition Jedi Luke Skywalker figures on Limited cards to the first 50 people in the door, it was only like 10,000 of them nation wide they were listed for around $175 a piece last time I checked...Well thankfully I bought an extra ticket and got two of them cause my son got a hold of one of them and it was no longer "mint on card"

I know I'm still planning on buying a bunch of the ww2 books and stuff you have.

Honestly Urge I bet mine and your house looks about the same as far as having collectible stuff everywhere.
