home video was the 'enabler' for this to happen by the way.
You'd barely see it happen in the old days because if a bad film was deliberately made it would lose money immediately. Now bad films find a second (usually first) life on the shelves of the video rental places. Just put the money into a snazzy cover and the curious will rent it .. |
