Favorite J.C. Movie
In my (humble) opinion, John Carpenters best film to date is his remake of "The Thing" bar none. The Special Effects were ahead of the time. It has that magical combination of Sci-Fi, horror, thriller, action, drama and comedy that is hard to mix and mix well. Although not my favorite Horror film, it is in my top five list of all time great horror movies!
#2). Holloween #3). Vampires #4). Escape from New York #5). In the Mouth of Madness

The Fog (though I was slightly annoyed it didn't follow Herbert's book more closely)
Halloween The Thing - and I'll have to watch that one again sometime, it's years since I saw it.
