The Warriors (1979)
I was expecting some more actions at the end but liked it overall. Gang fights were pretty fun to watch.:) >>: B The Stendhal Syndrome (1996) A regular, decent psychological thriller from Argento. >>: B-

The comic was well before "my time" as a comics enthusiast, but I picked up the tpb about 3 years ago and read it in almost one sitting...it was unlike anything else I'd read in comics before the "superhero" bit blurring into something of a gritty mystery, with not just one or two but MANY great characters interwoven into a sad and sombre tragedy while the story was dark, beautiful and hopeful all at the same time. The movie actually almost got it right...there's seriously so little to nitpick about here that I'm personally amazed. Everyone played their roles well enough, the costumes and tech looked right, the city looked the same. Rorsh was, as he should be a bit terrifying. The ending, well not the very ending, but the "ending" still hit me even when I knew it was coming. Very good job done pulling off the look, atmosphere, and feel of the comic/story. I think I'd actually throw 8.5 outta 10 to this one.
