2001 is a boring piece of shit. Evil Dead 2 by a longshot. It's about 500 times more entertaining.

Round 1: Match 10
Halloween  Black Friday may have done it first, but Halloween did it better than anybody before or since. It had an almost Hitchcockian style in how it built suspense, not resorting to mindless "scares" where someone just jumped out of the side of the frame, a style that is apparently nigh impossible to duplicate. Decent to solid performances all around, especially an unnecessarily good performance by Nick Castle. VS March of the Penguins  There aren't a lot of blockbuster documentaries, but here's one of them. It's not an indictment of the president or an exposé on wrongly accused teens or an artistic filmmaking challenge, it's just penguins looking cute while Morgan Freeman narrates. The simplicity and how it works out is actually kindof admirable. Although, I'm figuring on a lot of dead penguins in this one
