The word racist is thrown around too much nowadays. (I'm not saying this for a laugh, I'm serious). If you see a place get vandalised and there are a bunch of black teenagers standing around where it happened, looking troubling and you say "It was probably those black people over there". It isn't racist. You're using the fact that their skin is black as a way of identifying them easier, and yet, nowadays, yu would be called racist for that.
