Results of Challenge #8: Horror Directors

Both teams have submitted all correct answers to the challenge so we will be playing Bludgeon, Scythe, and Shroud as a tiebreaker!

But first, here are the answers:

1. First film to be an international success follows the plot of the first half of a Dean Koontz novel.
Alexandre Aja

2. Directed what is known as the first giallo film.
Mario Bava

3. A fan of HP Lovecraft and has adapted several of his stories.
Stuart Gordon

4. He has written the musical score to almost all of his films.
John Carpenter

5. Recently finished a supernatural triology in which the first film was made over 30 years ago.
Dario Argento

6. One of his early films closely follows the plot of an Ingmar Bergman film.
Wes Craven

7. His gory first film spawned two sequels with more comedic elements.
Sam Raimi

8. Signature cameos.
Alfred Hitchcock

9. Filmed a short for a Showtime horror series, only to have it not be aired due to the violent and disturbing nature of the film.
Takashi Miike

10. The theme in his early films is that scientists modify human bodies resulting in a breakdown of social order. He also blurs the lines of reality.
David Cronenberg

11. Most of his films became synonymous with the video nasties of the 80's as he is credited with some of the most violent and gory movies ever made.
Lucio Fulci

12. Directed his first movie based on a novella that he had written after being displeased with how his screenplays were handled by the director.
Clive Barker

13. His early films were splatter horror comedies before moving onto more serious award-winning films.
Peter Jackson

14. His first film is said to have changed the horror industry. It was thought up while in the hardware section of a crowded store.
Tobe Hooper

15. Directed the first zombie apocalypse film.
George Romero

Here's a quick review of Bludgeon, Scythe, and Shroud:

So we will be using this as a tie-breaker throughout the rest of the game. Bludgeon, Shroud and Scythe is play just like Rock, Paper, Scissors. Bludgeon breaks Scythe, Scythe cuts Shroud, and Shroud covers Bludgeon.

Each member of a team must send me a PM with their choice of Bludgeon, Shroud, or Scythe. The first PM I receive from each team will be counted as Round 1. If there is a winner of Round 1, that will decide the tie-breaker.

If Round 1 is a tie, then second PM I received from each team will be counted as Round 2.

Since Fortunato sat out for this challenge, he will also be sitting out for Bludgeon, Scythe, and Shroud.

If all the team members have sent me their choices and the rounds end in ties, that challenge will be scrapped without an outing in the catacombs and no rewards will be given. We will then continue on to the next and final challenge.

So, Deadites and Nemesis send me your choices individually via PM. If Bludgeon, Shroud, and Scythe is not completed by tomorrow, June 12th, at noon EST, this challenge will be scrapped.

We have a winner for Bludgeon, Shroud, and Scythe!

Round 1

Rayne - Bludgeon
Neverending - Shroud

Shroud covers Bludgeon so the winner is the Deadites!
