I prefer the original The Thing movie over Carpenters remake. Both are good but the original just has that certain feel.

LOL Nemesis thats my point I know the original is not like John Carpenters in 1982. The original has that nostalgic feel to it and its much more convincing and it projects howthe country was feeling at that time about UFOs.

Omen evryone knows they are not the same movie. But no doubt both are good movies. I prefer the one that was made with James Arnes. The thing I have noticed is that younger fans like Carpenters version a bit more while older fans will prefer the original. I can tell you this I enjoyed watching the Thing alot more when it was B&W than when Ted Turner colorized it.
Classic I dont think you really know the diffrence between a remake and an adption and a sequel here are the diffrences. A remake is movie that is based on a movie that was made by someone else using the same characters same story etc. An adption is a movie about a character lets say for example a Werewolf. Ok say the 1st Werewolf movie which was made in 1913 and then lets say someone else wants to make a movie about a Werewolf. That person will make their own story/movie about a Werewolf a diffrent movie diffrent people & characters. Thats an adption. A sequel of course is a follow up movie to an original like the Hammer Dracula movies with Christopher Lee.
