The Mothman Prophecies
I found myself drifting off in some parts... but overall, I enjoyed it. Excellent ending, and that scene depicting the phone call with Indrid Cold was hair-raising.

Huh ???

Anyhoo...The Squid and the Whale.

edit: I was just on the imdb boards and couldn't help but notice all the people who were whining about the characters not being "likeable" which is why they didn't like the film. This is precisely why I liked it. Because they aren't likeable, because the parents are so self absorbed they don't see just how they're affecting their kids. It's a very real movie, that portrays people in an accurate light, and I found myself really identifying with the kids (especially the older son), being the product of a very ugly divorce as well.

Right, here it is.

" A fieldmouse found a fallen hazelnut and began to bite into the hard shell of the nut with its sharp, ever-growing front teeth, not because it was hungry, but because it was a prince under an enchantment who could not regain his outer form until he chewed the Nut of Wisdom. But its excitement made it careless, and only the shadow that blotted out the moonlight warned it of the descent of a huge grey owl, who caught the mouse in its sharp talons and rose again into the night.
The mouse dropped the nut, which fell into the brook and was carried away, to be swallowed by a salmon. The owl swal*lowed the mouse in just a couple of gulps, leaving just its tail trailing from her mouth, like a length of bootlace. Something snuffled and grunted as it pushed through the thicket—a badger, thought the owl (herself under a curse, and only able to resume her rightful shape if she consumed a mouse who had eaten the Nut of Wisdom), or perhaps a small bear."

:)
I know, I love Gaiman for things like these. I have to admit that some of this stuff isn't my kind of thing, but I just can't help but like it, if not love it.

Edit: oh yeah, just watched Fight Club for about the 50th time. I still love the movie. I think I may reread the book again.

I saw Cloverfield yesterday, nice!! If you don't get motion sickness easily, then my advise is to watch it on theaters. The movie really gets you inside the story, I was like "run you idiots, RUN!" all the time hehehe, pretty cool.

Anyone liking it? Hating it?
