Round 1: Match 4
Memento  Sure, it's not the first movie to tell events out of chronological order (Betrayal came way before this), but it's the best, and the chronological reversal acts as plot enhancement rather than an emotional manipulator. Fantastic performance by Pearce, Joey Pants is wonderfully ambiguous, and Nolan gives it a fantastic neo-noir feel. vs Star Wars  Plot-wise, acting-wise, for the most part not so great, though charming in its simplicity. The story here is the insanely innovative special effects. And Darth Vader.
