I could of sworn that more then 5 movies came out last year....yet it seems like only those 5 movies get nominated....smh. I haven't seen not one of those movies but my brother said Django Unchained was a kick ass movie and topped Kill Bill.

I'm glad Argo won, but I think Ben Affleck should have been nominated for Best Director.
Was surprised that DeNiro didn't win, knew Daniel Day-Lewis would win but wanted Hugh Jackman to win, figured Anne Hathaway would take it (she was excellent in Les Miserables). I went to bed after the Les Miserables cast performance. |

Yes, Django Unchained was so awesome. :D You should definitely watch it if you enjoyed any of Tarantino's other films.

And FYI, Russell Crowe has had his own band for a long time, called 30 Odd Foot of Grunts. Odd name, and the music is not my taste, but I loved him in Les Mis. His take on Javert was different but very suitable. |

Frankenweenie was simply wonderful (wonder if it didn't get enough attention because of its stupid name???)... Brave was beautiful but I thought that the story was just so/so, which was too bad because the main character was fantastic.
