Tremors is not a slapstick comedy, but it definitely has a subtle humor to it.

And you're right, Behind the Mask isn't a comedy, but it's such a great, unknown flick that it deserves as much mention as possible,

Yeah i'll agree with that and i love Behind The Mask. I've actually given money to help them make the sequel Before The Mask.

Alternatively, you could purchase Rifftrax for movies that you've already seen. I know that's not exactly what you're looking for but it's a nice mix of horror and comedy.

Gotta disagree with that... It's a blatant parody of 50's budget sci- fi and every line is practically delivered with a wink to camera. Comedy gold.

Just because a movie casually rips on 50's sci-fi doesn't make it a comedy and i've never seen it that way at all. The third one sure but not the 1st and 2nd. For a movie to be a comedy it has to be....comedic. It actually has to be funny. There's definitely an air of humor to the movie but it's not geared towards hilarity and actually does take itself seriously while also having a sense of humor. It's a horror movie with some comedy in it....not a horror comedy.

But hey that's just my opinion and you're entitled to yours.

It doesnt 'casually rip off' 50's sci- fi, its a tongue in cheek homage to classic sci- fi, its also really fucking funny... A subtle comedy is still a comedy. The fact that you don't see it as a comedy or don't think its 'comedic' is besides the point. If I applied your rationale to comedy then anything I didn't find funny or deem to have enough comedic moments in wouldn't fit into the genre of comedy, which seems a little obtuse.

But hey, that's just my opinion and you're entitled to yours. ;)

You really think Behind the Mask isn't comedic? Sure it's a satire, but satire and comedy are kin. You could make the same argument that half of these other suggestions aren't comedic, either, then.

Rumpelstiltskin
Pinnochio's Revenge
Ghoulies

(none of these are great movies but they might be worth a watch)
