Well i looked around for a translation and everyone seems to agree on either it doesn't mean anything or it roughly translates to this:
To the almighty Damballa, give me the power I beg of you!
To the mercy of my soul.
To the point of my death.
Hear me out of from my condemned voice.
and i didnt buy into that so i did some research of my own and to my surprise found that this chant is actually in over 5 languages..maybe more and so far i have this much actually translated
Attach Two Damballa. Give me the power, I beg of you. Leveau haberdasher of the oxen chaloitte. Therefore live Twice God of death. Morteisma place of vocuier of mieu vochette. Endelieu for boisette damballa Endelieu for boisette damballa
my question is...why is this so hard to translate? so i looked into it and i typed in haberdasher of the oxen and through a few searches i found this book called "The Biggest Secret, i didnt really look into it that much and then i did some more searches using only the words in the chant and found Busby Berkely..Berkely being the last name of the main character in the first three movies...anyways those are my findings, maybe someone on here will look more into it and find out something really cool or maybe...really freaky never know.
by the way the translations i used were first in portugese(brazilian then i took that translation into portugese(european then into italian then from there french, and a few more languages but then i gave up.

You've missed an important point-some languages have words the same but have a different meaning depending on how you say them.
