i always prefer to watch the original films, i've never watched a remake so i'm not sure they all suck. but even if the remake film is well-directed, i don't see a point to watch it. why should i waste my time with "A Nightmare on Elm Street" 2010 film while i have the 1984 one?

sure, remakes can be good. i don't deny that. actually i've watched "The Thing" but as i know it's not a full remake, it's a different adaptation. [i didn't like it btw. i expected something better]

I think remakes are ok so long as they bring something new to the film unlike the 1998 remake of psycho, which was practicly a shot 4 shot remake.

I can't believe there's a horror fan out there that hasn't seen The Thing nor can I believe you haven't seen a version of Frankenstein after 1910.

Also to be fair to the Thing it does include alot from the story tha wasn't in the 50's version (the original movie monster wasn't a shape shifter). |
