you could use a pair of headphones, just plug them into the mic input.
i used to do that before i bought an ok microphone.

If you are able to transfer files from phone to PC, you could record a message on your phone, then put it on your computer. That's what I did.

Got a 360 headset and wired controller? Download the drivers and it works great. :)
