Agreed - Joss really showed his playful side, which was enjoyable. I thought it was one of the best episodes so far.

Me too. This show is really shaping up. I'm rather anticipating this week's episode. :)

So I was pretty disappointed by this week's episode...

[SPOILERS]

I thought that pretending to "free" the actives was a ridiculous storyline that had me annoyed right down to the reveal as to WHY they decided to pretend to free them; I understand the concept of the pursuit closure as a tool to reveal the pasts of these characters, but I still thought that the fake freedom was a strange way to do it. It was like a twist slapped on a strange ocurrance as an attempt to make the audience go, "Oh, wow. That was so smart. I didn't anticipate it." It just wasn't believable to me. It was silly. The whole backstory of the baby dying was just needless drama, though I have to say Victor and Sierra are really cute (cheesy, yes, but I was totally eating it up).

I saw the first ep.
Pretty convoluted...interesting idea though I think I'll give this one a miss...feels a bit like a show that might get canned pretty early.
Too bad, the "buffy" universe girls are like my two favourites.
Maybe if it doesn't die and early death, a box-set is a possibility to watch in future.
I like Whedons stuff, just didn't feel this at all.

I agree. I thought that was kinda lame, especially since the previous week's was so good. I also totally agree with you about the two people in your last sentence. :)
