Caught the Uninvited earlier. Game performances by Banks and Browning, but the movie overall was pretty meh. The remakes of Japanese horror films all seem to have the same tone to me, so even if you haven't seen the original they all feel like you've seen them before. I haven't seen a whole lot of the original Japanese films, so I can't say if they all feel familiar, but the remakes are almost always easily identified as such.

I agree %100. It's all in how their 'readapted to fit American audiences'. It's like they shove them all through the same mold.

A very average movie, with an average plot, but a great ending. I hope that makes sense.
