although this will look like an offhanded joke - it isnt in the least.

many years ago when i first came to toronto - i had a cubicle at work next to this girl who played some light rock station.

celine dion, mariah carrey, whitney houston, phill collins, michael bolton.

i found that i was getting pounding headaches every day - stress induced headaches.

one day i saw an ad on TV for another local 'alternative' radio station and they featured some tunes i liked so i brought a radio into work and played that station just loud enough to drown out what the idiot beside me was playing.

the headaches went away.

light rock horrible shit is the most offensive of any music i've ever heard.

stupid repetative simpleton lyrics, that cheezy fucking electric keyboard sound that dominates every 'song' just shit, unthinking, uninspired, vapid, vacuous usless crap garbage motherfucking cocksucking fucking fuck fuck fuck shit fuck piss fucking shit.

worst thing is - i'm in the age bracket of people who LOVE this garbage.
every time we're invited to someones place and i see that sewage in their pathetic CD collections i'm immediately turned off and know unerringly that i'll have fuck all to talk to these people about - ever.

so yeah - quite honestly and in all seriousness - i find that shit to be the most agressively offensive music of all time ...

it's actually better classified as non-music.
the opposite of music.

Yes, that pic was from the first live show I ever played out when I was 18. We only played 3 shows before he was jailed in Ann Arbor, MI and he died soon after his release.
No feces thankfully since he didn't bother with the band. We were just kinda there. It was audience interaction he was into :D I'm saving my stories to write down some rainy day with the pics I have, but someone sent me links to shows I played on YouTube:
Odd Rock Cafe show
There were more at one point, but I'm not looking for them now since I have a deadline on a filmfest Monday. They probably got pulled for content.

Reading about his stage exploits and actually viewing them first hand (much less being a part of the spectacle) was pretty surreal. Of course nothing can come as a surprise at any show after playing your first with him :D
Yeah, I've been asked before to write my stories down. A roadie wrote a book a few years ago about a few shows he did for GG and the few I've told apparently are much more interesting (esp since I hung out with the guy a bit as well). I figure I'll do it when I have more to tell. I've met and worked with a lot of strange characters over the years, some famous, some infamous and some that defy description.

The only song I heard by GG allin was probly the only mild song he did was Bite it you Scum which is an awesome song and has the catchy punk chords.

I can't really think of anything, i just remember being surprised listening to Slipknots Iowa and like the first song he said he was gonna slit your throat and fuck the wound or some shit LOL

I find Fall Out Boy, Plain White Tees, The Jonas Brothers, My Chemical Romance, and all the other establishment happy peppy/emo bands to be very offensive. To music, that is.
