Based on your age...I would suggest...

Boltneck
Idle Hands
Mars Attacks (Not really "horror", but still pretty cool)
Army of Darkness (My 9 year old says it's his favorite)
Goonies
Arachnaphobia
Beetlejuice (again, not really "horror" but...)
Deep Blue Sea
Disturbing Behavior
The Faculty
Final Destination
The 'Burbs
House
Lake Placid
Jurassic Park
Frighteners
The Mummy
The Mummy Returns
Scream
I Know What You Did Last Summer
Urban Legends
Anything written by Stephen King

Arachnophobia really freaked me out the first time I saw it. Scream is really underestimated, its really good in my opinion. Beetlejuice is hilarious. But there are also some I would suggest, but I guess you only mentioned these movies because of his age?

That's correct, I personally feel that these movies generally tend to appeal to a younger audience...That isn't to say that they can't also be enjoyed by everyone else...:)
