i wasn't interested in erotic horror, i just didn't know it existed, but thanks for the link. shogun assassin is a baby cart movie. mostly samurai's and sword inflicted limb removal. gory and o.t.t. is there a category for this?

Zombie Horror (Cemetary Man, Dawn of the Dead, etc...) Vampire Horror (Dracula 2000, The Lost Boys, etc...) Slasher Horror (Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc...) Creature Horror (The Fly, The Blob, Jeepers Creepers, etc...) Werewolf Horror (Dog Soldiers, Ginger Snaps, etc...) Hillbilly Horror (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wrong Turn, etc...) Occult Horror (The Wicker Man, Rosemary's Baby, etc...) Vehicular Horror (Duel, Christine, Trucks, etc...) Ghost Stories (Stay Alive, The Messengers, Poltergeist, etc...) Psychological Horror (Session 9, In the Mouth of Madness, Cube, etc...) Horror Comedy (Shaun of the Dead, Scary Movie, Bad Taste, etc...) I also have 'B' Quality Horror & Horror Classics (refering mainly to black & white horror) listed seperately from all the other sub-genres. Of course, it's all subjective to the viewers opinion so there could never really be an 'official' list.

I honestly don't think I would put Oldboy or Shogun Assassin in any horror subgenre. Oldboy was a psychological thriller and Shogun Assassin was more of an action movie. As for erotic horror I haven't seen many but I'd say Blind Beast qualifies and although I've never seen it I'd say Erotic Ghost Story is a safe bet.
