I think the best sequel ever (not just horror) has to be Jim Cameron's ALIENS. It is absolutely perfect. Scary as hell, great plot, great actors, fast-paced action. And over 20 yrs later, this movie is still as amazing as it was in 1986.

I also think that is a bit unfoturnate that this film followed Ridley Scott's ALIEN. Had Jim Cameron never made the sequel, I think ALIEN would easily be considered the best horror film of all time. But Jim's film certainly throws a wrench into that argument. :)

I totally forgot about Psycho 2. It's severely under-rated, but still one of my faves.

Oh heck yea. I haven't seen this film in years, but I remember it being quite good. While the original is truely a masterpiece, the sequel is maybe one notch below. Certainly worth watching if anyone hasn't seen it yet.

in evil dead 2 the scene in the cellar shows a freddy glove. the reason is evil dead is on a tv in nightmare on elm street.
