I would have to say Halloween.

For the primetime family hour... (7pm-8pm)

The Halloween that Almost Wasnt (aka The NIght Dracula Saved the World)

Easily one of the most cheesy, yet entertaining hour long Halloween specials ever made.



After that, when the kids go to bed or go to count out & sort their candy... (8pm-11:30pm)

I'd run Halloween & Halloween 2 back to back, uncut, uncommercialed, and uncensored.

Then for the late night crowd (11:30pm-1:30am)

I'd show the original Texas Chainsaw uncut, uncensored & uncommercialed.

I could go with that, though I would replace the The Halloween that almost wasn't with Peanuts The Great Pumpkin

Aha! In that case, you must not have seen The Halloween that Almost Wasnt! I highly suggest trying to check it out if you can, but good luck finding it. It took me three years of looking for it to find it pirated on DVD (It's only been released on VHS & is now OOP) for less than $30.

Charlie Brown would be alright for the kiddie hour too though.

Ah, yes. I have read about The Halloween That Almost Wasn't. Never saw it, but that sort of thing is up my alley.

I was wondering if anyone here had seen Monster Mash: The Movie. It ain't no classic but it is interesting and fun to watch, mostly for the wrong reasons.

Another perfect fit for family time would be The Monster Squad.

It's an hour long after-school special sort of movie from the early/mid-80s starring Judd Hirsch as Dracula. It's cheesy & campy, but I loved it as a kid and still get a kick out of watching it every once and a while.

I remember watching it and enjoyed it, but I have been and always will be a Peanuts fan. It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is just a classic.
