Scream is not Nu-Horror because it's not horror. Just because almost all the new horror directors and writers can't see past the surface of the movie is no reason to lump it in with all the quasi-ripoffs that are horror movies.

the reason i agree with calling it nu-horror is because its just not the same anymore friday the 13th and nightmare on elmstreet are horror but the reason i call it nu-horror is because its for a differant audience not for us loyal fans but the people who watch 1 film and decide there hardcore but dont know anything about old school horror..
and avenger if you dont like calling resent horror films nu horror why do you catagorise old school horror as old school??:confused: just saying whats on my mind:)
