Well, I'll do some promotion. I run an internet radio station. Been on the air about 6 years now. During October I play Halloween related stuff, and I get a lot of listeners. It's my most popular time. Even a few folks from here tuned in this year. But the rest of the time I play a wide variety of music and comedy. It pretty much mirrors my own musical taste. I've been a collector of music for almost 40 years and my taste has always run toward the strange, obscure and the unusual.

I'm continually adding stuff from my own collection, as well as new independent artists that send me their music to play. My library ranges from the oldest surviving sound recording (the soundtrack to an experimental talking clock, from 1876), to early blues & tin pan alley, experimental electronic music from the 40's on up, rare pop & rock from the 50's - 70's, comedy music, and some more normal stuff like folk, celtic, ambient, singer/songwriters, new age, soundtracks, classical, exotica, prog and many other styles.

What you WON'T hear is stuff that's currently popular- rap, hip-hop, metal, what they call r & b today, etc. So, it's not for everybody. In fact, it's not for very many at all. It's for people who are music lovers in the truest sense- they like a wide variety of music, and they love discovering music they might not have heard before.

I created the station to showcase music that's slipped through the cracks of musical history, to expand people's musical appreciation, and to feature new music that can't get on traditional radio today because the major labels have those venues sewn up. Along the way I've been noticed by some folks that have helped make all the effort worthwhile. A few years ago I was approached by Vic Mizzy's agent to do an interview with him. Vic Mizzy wrote the theme songs to Green Acres & The Addams Family, as well as scoring many movies like The Night Walkers & The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. That interview was not only a highlight of my radio station, but of my life as well. I was also personally contacted by Shawn Phillips, one of my musical heros from the 70's, who wanted me to feature his music on my station.

I don't run any ads, you don't have to join anything to listen to my station, I don't make any money from it at all. I just do it so people can hear this music. Check it out, maybe, if you consider yourself musically adventurous. Thanks for reading this post.
