sorry about your grandfather. my grandfather died 5 weeks after my baby was born and he never got to see him. it really makes me sad that i don't have a picture of grampie and drew together. also he died EXACTLY 4 years after his wife. after my grandmother died grampie spent a lot of his time with his brother and his wife but about 2 months before my grampie died his brother died. it's kinda like he just was lonely and passed away which is really sad. he wasn't really sick or anything. i guess the best thing to do is remember the good times. like for me i think about when i was little my nana always said when the sun sparkles on the water it was "nana's diamonds" and when i saw them it meant she was thinking about me. to this day nana's diamonds make me tear up and smile all at the same time.
i really hope you find the strength you need to get through this and just remember to never forget the good times.

A while ago I had replied to a post where I said that HDC was like a big family. That's what I like about this place - there are times when a joke misfires, the humour gets a little strained but when it matters the most, everyone joins together.
My thoughts are with you, in this time.

I know you have probably heard enough about how people are sorri by now, well when my father died of cancer I realy got sick of people consoeling me, sometimes you need to just come to turns with it on your own. I find other peoples grief doesn't realy help, and especially people who never knew or liked the person in question. People can be realy odd at these times.
I myself was back in my hometown the last few days and went to my fathers grave today for the first time since christmas, it would have been his birthday last week. Also an Uncle who died last year is burried just rite behind him. As for my granfather, it was horrible, I just couldn't find his grave, it was realy strange. Although I never knew him, I have been visiting his grave since I was a little kid, he died after he came back from the war, he was a grave digger in my home town, he got a lung infection, and one day walked back into town and collapsed on the undertakers steps and died. My mum only told me this around a year ago about where he died, you see I used to walk around the undertakers corner to get the bus for school everyday.
