Boards of Canada and Squarepusher are fairly similar to Aphex Twin, so you may like them.

one of the grandfathers of electronica are Tangerine Dream ...

they've done a lot of interesting stuff ... mindscapes to let your brain wander around in... they became more commercial eventually ..doing a lot of soundtrack work.

philip glass and synergy are a couple of other 'old timers' ... and kraftwerk to some extent (although there are sometimes vocals)

Maybe Japan, they are more techno pop but have some cool songs.
