I got freaked before I went to college. Don't worry about it. You'll be fine. England's a pretty cool place, good people, decent food, good beer. You'll be fine. Drink yourself some chamomille tea, take a hot bath, and you'll be fine. When you get to your exams, you'll probably breaze through and go out with your chums wondering why you were so worried in the first place.:)

I'm in a terrible mood, so i'm going to actually say what i feel like... whatever.

1. Your brand new here, and nobody knows you. It's hard to give advice to random people. I'm not saying we don't wish to know you or anything, but it's different if it's someone who has been here a while, but, posting how you feel just to say it is ok... so maybe I just hypocriticized myself in a way... but still.

2. Cheeba, you don't have to be such an ass to her/him about it. If you were kidding, I couldn't tell. If that's the case then ignore this, but she didn't do anything to you.

3. Life just sucks... everyone has shit to take care of, and just remember that a lot of people's situations are way worse. Just remember that.

I know exams are fucked up. I have exams every few weeks and im terrified half the time.

I suffer from general anxiety disorder and major recurrent depression (may explain some of my moods on here). I didn't take anything for it until just within the last year or so. In someways its helped, in some ways I think it may be fucking with by brain more than I want. Jury's still out on that one in my book.
This time in your life can be very stressful but it also can be very exilerating (sp?). Go with it, try not to be afraid. Sounds like you'd still always have family to back you if it really got bad, My pride didn't allow me to do that, so I didn't have much for a while, but it gets better and then you appreciate what you got for yourself more than anything.

Well, I'm getting' to the point that I can hide my own Easter eggs, so I guess I'm old enough to put in my 2 cents....

First off, you never said if you are getting financial assistance from your family until you land a job. If so, that should be one huge stressor off of your back. Money...or lack there of...creates a hell of a lot of stress in moving on to new things such as collage (or divorce for that matter). If you are not getting cash from the family, do you have some stashed back? If not, better get working on it. Going to a different Country without much money would probably drive me over the edge. Obtain a work visa (if needed) and get a job...any job... as soon as possible, unless you have money flowing out of you ass, you will need all you can get.

Going to a new Country (especially one that speaks the same language as you and has the same basic set of laws) shouldn't be much different than going to a new school, starting a karate class...whatever. You have friends now (I'm assuming) you made them, you will make more... don't sweat it.

Being away from your family, especially if you are close to them, IMO, would be the hardest part. To help ease it, get Webcams for you as well as your family so you can see and talk to them instead of using the phone...it should make you feel "closer" to them than the latter, and not so much "on-your-own."

If you are really freaking out, not sleeping etc... go see a Doctor, I've been there a time or two and medication can aid you if you need it (unless you think like Tom Cruise).
