Eventually, I'll get to every major franchise out there, but I want to space them out by a few weeks each. Otherwise everyone will get burnt out on them and they'll all fade to page 2 and beyond before we know it.

We still have Halloween, Friday the 13th, Leprechaun, Child's Play, Puppet Master, Hellraiser, Phantasm (Ack!) to go and those are just the major ones! After that we could always go into Evil Dead, Ginger Snaps, Candyman, Scarecrow, Sleepaway Camp, etc... But we'll get through the main ones first and then take it from there...

If I've omitted any franchises that should be included, please remind me here.

With the exceptions of 'Toy Story 2' and 'Godfather 2', sequels shouldn't even exist. They cheapen the greatness that made the originals great and original. 'Halloween 2' still ranks worst since first one had such a great ending to it.

I really love Halloween 2. But I hear what you're sayin' cause look at The Burning or My Bloody Valentine and how effective in delivery those films are..... but look at the injection of life Friday The 13th Part 2 had the series (which should've ended in The Final Chapter).

Fuck.... and hate for the Phantasm series? (bet you loved Lord Of The Rings hahaha).

I like the boundries that are pushed with a lot of series of films. Phantasm and Re-Aminator are genius entries into escapist entertainment. Shit and the end of Basket Case 2 was worth another entry into the series.

I'd rather see sequels than remakes.

'Basketcase' is a greatness that never should've been diminished with sequels (Belial has a girlfriend ? wtf was that all about ?).
I actually saw 'Halloween 2' before the original and thought it was ok (I was 12 I guess). The ending to first was perfect ! It had been altered in '2' to fit the opening if you ever watch back to back'.
I still haven't sat through 'LOTR' (I have 2 of them here) and I didn't have the heart to tell Reggie Bannister a few months ago that not only have I not seen any of the 'Phantasm' sequels, I always fall asleep to the first one LOL. It takes me 3 nights to see it all the way through and I still have no idea what's going on in it. Of course I fall asleep to anything now so that's not saying much (but 'Phantasm' was the first).

I thought that shit was great. When I first watched that film I thought it sucked but the end was genius and probably ideas not allowed for the first film. But yeh I just love the crazy spins a lot of these films take... however stupid. At least he didn't soil Brain Damage with a sequel. But the Bride of Frankenhooker could be WAY cool.

But yeh Phantasm is a bit of a chore to get thru (definatley not for everyone) but II and III have a good flowing energy that kicked my ass Evil Dead 2 style. They never bothered releasing IV over here so I ain't checked it out yet.

Dwayne and Belial both died in 'Basketcase' ! How can there be a twist on that ?! If I ever stay awake long enough to watch all of 'Exorcist III', I'll end up pissed off that the priest is still alive somehow from the original. Ripley clones in 'Alien' films, etc. Any time your franchise needs to resurrect a dead character to continue, I think your time could be better spent coming up with a new idea for a film.
