Alien 5: Genocide Ripley Returns 2008

If production stats in '06 then there is no way that it will be out by '07. Plus I think that the die hard fans (like myself) would be pissed-off if Riply didn't come back for asequal. I think that since they fucked up with #4 and brought Riply back they need to finsh the series, again, and let Riply have closure, again.

But if they presue the prequal idea then Riply is not needed.

I honestly hope that this is the last. Well, if it is even true.

Not that I don't love the Alien movies, because I really do. I even liked part 4, and not many people have a lot of good things to say about that one. But enough is enough. The legacy of the series has been diluted enough with AvP, just let it end.

i know that the alien franchise is nothing without ripley but if they do and alien 5 they could still have ripley as a clone but it wont be the same.

i would like an alien 5 and i don't mind if ripley wont be in alien 5.


look at Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween she is in 4 of the halloween movies. now she is dead and u ppl still want a 9th film so? this is the same?

But the Halloween franchise has been rapped beyond repare. The Alien series is still salvagable. I'm not mad about a clone Riply, even though its really fucking stupied, but I think that from a literary point of view the Aliens represent a personal struggle for Riply and she needs to bring closure to that struggle or burden, thats a better word. But I'm speaking as a Alien fan more so than a Halloween fan.

So its agreed that Ripley needs to
1) Finish off all the aliens, a sort of inner demon battle &
2) Ripley dies to finish the series.

Okay, how about in Alien 5, she goes to their homeworld to finish them off... she does soo and is close to death, the Weyland guys come along she just laughs at them as they walk up to her, they were going to capture one (Queen), they find one which happens to be a queen and is slightly injured, they walk past ripley with it as she begins to yell out "no", one of them pulls out a gun and shoots her, she's dead, they take the alien on board a marine ship and head back for earth just before revaling the guy that shot her was a Bishop robot.

Which then leads to my idea of, that I posted before, which becomes Alien 6 which then leads to my idea for AVP2. which will end the Alien series for good.

thats similar to what i said that alien 5 carry's on to predator 3 and finishes with AvP 2?

or it carry's on with Predator 3 then alien 5 and to finish it of with AvP 2?

I think AVP is so fucked-up that it has nothing to do with the Alien series at all, in my mind AVP is its own movie and it does not exist in the context of the Alien series or story.

I say Riply should go to the home world and wipe out eh species with a nuke but lets say the detonator is damaged in a fight with the Aliens and Riply has to stay and set off the nuke. That way Waylen doesn't get Alien ever and Riply finally finshes her mission (again). I don't know, I just don't think that you could have asked for a better ending than Alien 3. I mean the iorny of not only having an Alien inside Riply, but a Queen and in order to kill the Aliens for good she sacrifices herself for humanity (the ultimate sacrifice).

Hmmm... that's not a bad idea, Prelude. For some reason, I was under the impression that the aliens didn't have a homeworld, that they just traveled through space inflicting themselves on any race they encountered. If they did have one though, that would be really cool to see.

noctuary, based on the movies your right, there is no home world mentioned, the Alien was found on the Space Jocky's ship. And thats why a prequal might work b/c the idea would be that you would get to see how the aliens got on Space Jocky's ship and then that would tie into Alien.

..In my view a Alien movie dont need the Ripley character...its been done without her allready in VS Predator movie....
