I liked them both. However, Land continued the series, where as Dawn was a remake, so I have to go with Land.

I really did like both of them, but I think I preferred Dawn slightly. Land just seemed to have a different style than the other films in Romero's series. The smart zombies bugged me a little.

"Land" I just consider the Dawn remake to not really be part of the Romero universe. Or Zombieverse.

Its quite a tossup really. Land had good parts, and bad parts..some of the kills looked cheesey at times. But it was more creative in a sense.

Dawn was an excellent take on a remake, and it was a lot of action..a lot of the kills were great and the zombies were a bit pumped up.

But is it just me or did "Big Daddy" in Land of the Dead, kind of resemble Michael Jackson morphing into a werewolf in the hit 80's music video, Thriller?

I watched both for the first time over the weekend. I like them
both. But the ending of Land irritated me...I don't want to give anything away but maybe someone knows what I am talking about...

I think everyone already knows. I saw land of the dead in theaters, and I forgot how awful it was. I hate it so much... The zombies using machine guns? That's a pile of shit right there... And the slow zombies don't appeal to me, i had forgotten they weren't fast like the dawn remake. I think the fast zombies are extremely frightening, when they run at you like that, in packs...

i prefered the Dawn of the Dead remake because i had low expectations .. and i ended up liking the characters a lot.

I was dissapointed by Land .. but i'll watch it again eventually with adjusted expectations and probably appreciate it more.
