I know I barely even talk to you, but I just wanted to give you my condolences. I hope that your mother is okay and that she pulls through this. Just be strong for her and pray for the best. I went through this when my brother got shot and beleive me, talking about it helps alot. So, I am here if you need to talk.

As for your Housing and education expenses. You can't apply for financial aid? Thats how I made it through college. And even if you can't get it just rememeber "Life has a way of working itself out."

"Life is what you make it to be"

Just keep your head up and keep on trudging through the difficult times, you will make it. :)

Hope you are doing well. Here are some timeless words of widsom. They actually help me every once in a while.....

****************************
DESIDERATA
by Max Ehrmann

GO PLACIDLY amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. AS FAR as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. SPEAK your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. AVOID loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit. IF you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. ENJOY your achievements as well as your plans. KEEP interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. EXERCISE caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. BUT let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. BE yourself! ESPECIALLY, do not feign affection! NEITHER be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass. TAKE kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth! NURTURE strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. BUT do not distress yourself with imaginings. MANY fears are born of fatique and loniliness. BEYOND a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. YOU are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. AND whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. THEREFORE be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations! IN the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. WITH all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams it is still a beautiful world! BE cheerful! STRIVE TO BE HAPPY!

Not sure if you've checked into it or not yet...but have you applied for Stafford Loans? What about a Pell grant? (you don't have to pay this one back..it's free money). Also....check into scholarships...work study programs at your college...in fact, just try talking to a financial aid counselor at your school...they're there to help you out with things like this.

Furthermore...if you're financially independent from your parents, you'll get more money...however, if you're dependent you'll obviously get less...not sure what your situation is there...hope some of this helps.

LMAO! Yeah well, I know my stuff when it comes to college that's for sure. I've been to 3 of them, had an off-campus apartment, and filled out more paperwork for loans, scholarships, financial aid, etc. than anyone should ever have to:p Luckily all of my hard work is over with now. But I'm more than happy to help anyone else whose caught up in that mess;)

I swear that filling out various forms/paperwork was the hardest part of college...it just wouldn't end...the rest was a piece of cake:p :D
