the same with Devils Rejects... I have to make an effort to normaly stay away from major film release threads, to stear clear of spoilers, and whats worse, I can't join in on discussions till ages later. :(

Personally, I thought Land of the Dead was a true masterpiece and the culmination of the kind of films Romero has been making for years. Obviously some were disappointed that it wasn't scarier, gorier, or more action-packed. But, as I've written on another thread, I think that was part of the point.

So = if you like Romero, I think you'll love LOD.

Land of The Dead Sept 9th, which seams like ages.

Devils Rejects August 5th, so not too long for that one.

I liked this film alot untill i remembered.."whoa, this is the same guy that directed Notld, dawn of the dead, and day of the dead ( along with many others ) And when i finally got that into my head the film took a big downfall for me. I just expect so much from George Romero, and this film didnt cut it for me compared to his others. Im just glad he didnt tottaly hold off on all the red stuff.

Blah...why do some people worry so much about the director? Yes, I know some directors are just plain better than others, but I look more at the ACTUAL MOVIE. In fact, I don't look MORE at the movie, that's ALL I friggin care about.
