Paul McCartney blew me away. He did a great job in controlling the audience - got them all excited with "Helter Skelter", and then calmed them down with "Winding Road" - and then, when the audience felt okay in knowing the concert was at its end, he jams things up with "Hey Jude" so everyone can sing along. What a finish. Good man, good man.

Seemed like a BS concert..... As soon as they keep on harping on "We dont want your money", Im scratching my head.... I would prefer them to want my money because money is whats needed to feed them. Then they are gonna have those 100s of thousands of people watch the concert for FREE... I wonder how many of those people actually opened up their wallet after seeing their favorite band. Those artists that were performing were receiving various gifts and gift baskets and the people in Africa only got "awareness". But atleast all the members of Maroon 5 got IPODs.

I remember watching the first Live Aid on MTV and it was awful - 2 minutes of music for every 20 minutes of ads for the charity. Why??!) from VERY oppresive regimes while doing NOTHING to help the rampant poverty and the spread of Aids.

South Africa now has MORE millionare Blacks than there were once Whites...and they live in huge gated, guarded communities while the majority of it's people live in squaler and crime.

Zimbabwe is being bulldozed to pieces, it's people are being killed and oppressed by....A BLACK AFRICAN LEADER. While NONE of the leaders in Africa condemn the actions!!

Africa is riddled with oppresive regimes, mass murdering dictators and rampant financial/AID STEALING corruption.

Africa is riddled with ceaseless civil wars that make millions of innocents homeless and spread poverty and death.

And in all this there is not a White/Western face involved!

AFRICA has to sort ITSELF out before it makes ANY USE AT ALL to send endless billions to it..as most of those billions get wasted and stolen.

YES Africa needs the chance to trade fairly in competition so it can feed itself and build it's economies up...THAT needs doing. But all the rest is bulls**t.

And I notice that those that took part in 'Live 8' have had a 200%-700% increase in record sales!!!!
So these MULTI MULTI MULTI MULTI MULTI MILLIONARES have even more millions!
Fancy giving a large chunk of all these MILLIONS to Africa?

It comes to something when we have the likes of Brad Pitt and Bono clicking their fingers every second for when another child dies in Africa!!! The yearly earnings of JUST those 2 could save countless hundreds!!
