Tom Waits is brilliant. I think Closing Time is his best (and one of the best albums ever), but Swordfishtrombones and Rain Dogs are great stuff, too (Soldier's Things and Time, respectively, are his two best songs, IMO)

I listen to Frank's Wild Years or Rain Dog son a (nearly) daily basis.
'no one brings anything small into a bar around here" He is my favorite singer/songwriter next to Johnny Cash - and I've got my 9 year-old hooked on him too:D
