Thank God everyone ignored Ben Franklin at least once... He wanted our national symbol to be the noble Turkey....
We ended up getting stuck with the bald eagle, geez.... Who wants a powerful, sharp eyed predatory bird with beautiful plumage to be their symbol? :)
