I just put this movie in.

its definitely trying to set the 70s early 80s mood..previews are Evil Dead and Halloween...oh wait....and Hellraiser.
Now some newer movies...Dead and Breakfast, ooo an Argento movie...The Card Player.....never heard of it.....on to the feature.

I've seen much worse.Take two parts Halloween, one part Texas Chainsaw and you get Malevolence. As a matter of fact,John Carpenter should sue them for ripping off his music.
I wanna say it was a low budget movie...but the acting was better than most of them and the production seemed a tad better.Kind of a medium budget movie if you will.

With all the homages to the classics horror films of the 70s I'm glad to see someone pay homage to the lesser ones. That's my way of saying that it's nothing special. Still it made my $9.95 monthly pass to Blockbuster Video worth it, it kept me from buying it at $14.95.

I really enjoyed this film. I like the 1970'-1980's old school slasher feel to it. I would recomend this to someone looking for a good time. Newer horror films really are not worth watching but I think this one is. I liked how it paid homage to Friday, Halloween, Texas and even the Shining (when the killer goes to break through the door) and also Night of the Living Dead (when the guy comes out of the house). Very entertaining and worth the watch. The extras were pretty good as well.

I just watched this movie and i loved it. It has the feel of an 80's slasher with the music of a John Carpenter movie. Great buy.
