Why do you watch horror movies?
I can't help myself...I'm drawn to them much like flies to shit. When did you start watching horror movies? Actually before I was born and still in my mommys belly I would wait for her to pass out from the Southern Comfort and then peek between her leggs at the TV screen, which always had some kinda horror movie playing, either that or they were home movies.Lots of blood and gore was assured. How do you feel when you watch a horror movie? My pee pee grows. What is your favorite horror movie? Willie Wonka fucking oommpa loompas scare the shit out of me. |

1. Because when they're good they are the most memorable. Fear and Laughter are our two most primal emotions. I dig that.
2. Started when I was 4 and watched Magic about a ventriliquist dummy that comes to life. It may not be horror, but it was scary when I was 4. 3. Primal, bloodthirsty and gleeful 4. Probably The Shining or Halloween. Honorable mention to Suspiria. They all have those chills I seek out on a daily basis.

I watch horror because i keep looking for that cheap thrill you get from being scared. but they really don't scare me anymore. i've been watching since i was really little. my whole family was into them and now my kids are too. Fav movie? probably halloween. but it's like asking me to pick my fav child.;)

Why do you watch horror movies?
**Because I like them? The genre appeals to me out of versatility, and that we are subjected to things we'd otherwise never experience. As with all types of movies, horror is a chance to see the creativity of another - to see their fears and imagination become hybrid in a tangible form, somebodies personal perspective put into film is always interesting, regardless of subject matter... When did you start watching horror movies? **I can't remember clearly when I first WITNESSED any part of a horror movie, but I do recall seeing Hellraiser and Nightmare on Elm st, both at about the age of 7. How do you feel when you watch a horror movie? **That depends on how well it's made, how/where it's filmed, use of a good musical score, a convincing cast, a RANGE of things. A good horror movie can make you experience many emotions or feelings throughout. The horror movies I appreciate the most are the ones that actually "scare" me a little. I'm not referring to the many attempts to make you jump that the average horror film throws your way...I'm talking about the films that bring about contemplation of a fear that you share with the maker of the film, be it pre-existing, or something you've never even considered. Suspense is also good, but a distant second, gore isn't all that important, but good when used effectively, and moderately. *Tense *Disgusted *Sympathetic (not just for the victims either) ???I dunno??? It's quite hard to put it simply. What is your favorite horror movie? **If I chose only one, I feel that this would discredit the many other horror films I've appreciated through the years for various reasons. This is a question I no longer answer. - B. Last edited by Cheeba V2.0; 11-30-2004 at 07:12 PM. |
