I thought it was a pretty cliched disaster movie.....and the cg wolves were fucking WRETCHED....

did NOT like quaid in this movie AT ALL....and frankly though the only decent part of it was Mr. Donnie Darko ( i forget his actual name) but he kinda outshined everyone else....

Alot of predictable scenes and it's all been done before.....im tired of seening our world end in CGI rendering....i want the real thing damnit!!

Cliched in the way that there is a disaster and people try to survive ?
I thought this movie was a stand out at how many cliches there weren't - other than the ones that would occur exactly as they happened.

I thought quaid was fine .. very low key. Check out Cold Creek Manor if you want to see him embarass himself .. he sure didnt in this film.

And re. the CGI ... well ....that was the first time I've seen anything quite like that ... there would be absolutely no other way to come anywhere near that degree of realism..

miniatures and matte paintings wouldnt have worked .. you'd still need CGI even if you used miniatures anyway - for the freezing ...
oh hell .. for anything in this movie.
