If it wasn't for that movie then Friday the 13th would've ended and Friday the 13th Part VII (a great flick) would've never been made or Jason Goes to Hell (awesome) I don't care much for Jason X and Jason Takes Manhattan but other then that yeah. The Thing was great and so was A Nightmare on Elm Street. I forgot about The Shining, though thanks. I change from Jason Lives to The Shining.
No problem. ;)

More likely if people didn't keep flocking like sheep to substandard films that Hollywood already knew would make money because a horror icon is in it. How many people here would see 'Jason Vs The Waterboy' or 'Jason Vs Shaft' ? Too many people. Why ? Cuz it's Jason. Hollywood doesn't care about the fans. Hollywood cares about the money. Why else release a DVD boxset of the 'Friday the 13th' movies ? They had tons of interviews, behind the scenes, extras galore and they settled for trailers. Why ? Because they wanted to cash in on 'Freddy Vs Jason' and the fans aren't considered into the equation except for how much they're willing to spend this time around.
