Good man. Once Upon a Time in the West is unbelievable. It came really close to making my top 10 movies ever (Se7en beat it out), and The Wild Bunch was the first western I ever REALLY liked.

As for the John Wayne flicks, check out Rio Bravo and then you've seen 'em all. The Searchers is different, I guess, as is Liberty Vallance, but LV is more of a James Stewart movie. I never much cared for John Wayne.

These are the coolest westerns in my opinion...

Unforgiven
Tombstone
Young Guns
Young Guns 2
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Fistful of Dollars
For a few Dollars More
The Quick and the Dead
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

I would say you need to go rent Tombstone as quick as you possibly can, but be prepared to become a big Val Kilmer fan after you see it. His portayal of Doc Holliday is one of the best characters in any movie, ever.

For quality Spaghetti Westerns, track down

Django
Django Rides Again
(a.k.a. Django Strikes Again)
Django Kill! (a.k.a. If You Live, Shoot!) - very violent uncut Jap-laser version approx. 2hrs, previously cut to bits in the USA/UK
Massacre Time & Four of the Apocalypse (both Lucio Fulci)
