Robin, I have cable.. so probably not. Too bad for me.

The Horror Channel! In October! I'm too excited, I only hope my cable company will carry it .. if not... I'll lodge a complaint.

I mean really, I have like the food network, gameshow network and other stupid channels I don't need... Just replace one of those with the horror channel.. :p

I rented Wendigo the other day, it takes a long tome for anything good to happen as far as horror goes, and then when it finally does the film is over. I think there was way too much character development and not enough about the legend. Its an OK rental and good as far as Indie films go but unless its in the bargain bin I wont be buying it.

Horrible movie. Doesn't deserve to be called "horror".

Very disappointing. I'm a fan of the Wendigo mythos.

I really dug this film. I am a BIG fan of slow moving movies. This one was perfect for me. The thing I loved about it was the climax was at the end of the film. Unlike big budget movies where the climax is in the middle and the rest of the film is just trying to figure out what to do next, it came at the end. I loved the build up and the character development. I thought this was a great film and a definate must own. It's in Fangoria's 101 Best Movies You've Never Seen for a reason.

I liked it...but what a DOWNER ending!

Yeah, I thought it was okay. But what a bummer of an ending.

I thought the story was interesting, but I didn't think the monster stuff was perfect in its execution...the suit version of the monster never looked right, and they tried to hide the "suity" look of it with digital post effects...

There is a brief and very effective moment, however, where one character sees the creature in a vision, and it appears as an assemblage of moving sticks, twigs and thorns...roughly in a humanoid animal shape...it looked like a marionette, and this had a frame blurring effect over it, too, but this served to make the odd image even odder.

I wouldn't call it a pure horror film. It's more of an artsy horror drama, and it won't go down well if you're expecting exploitation. It had some elements of classical children's fairytales--discovery of the reality of death, primal fears, etc. If you delve into some older children's fairytale books (say, from before 1925), you'll find quite a few of the stories end in a sucky downer sort of way, like this one does. I was so depressed I vowed never to watch it again, and sold the tape.

are you serious!!!! this movie draged on an on an on. every five mins the father was sitting the kid down for a heart to heart talk that would last for 15 minutes.ffs they were being chased by some killer beast and all the father wanted to do was sit n talk with his kid about some shit, what ever those metro sexual sensitive new aged guys talk about. no wonder the poor kid was depressed. hellllo if you have a depressed 7 yr old. its more than likely it is something you're doing to him, kids dont have deep down mental issues. fuck i hated this movie. you had to wait for until the movie was jus tabout over before the creature showed up. and then it was some spastic looking peice of shit. man that creature had the gayest running style of anything iever saw. im sure they got someone from the speacial olympics to play the creature. its crap. crap is too good a word for it. i dont know what word im after but it was fucked. but anywho.
