I liked hm...?two? of her songs.
I thought she actually *used to* be attractive, and saw there was talent for the kind of music she recorded, which I appreciated if only for the fact it didn't sound like the majority of commercial music we hear played and overplayed these days.
I'd have liked to have seen her recover, but yeah I remember thinking about two years ago she completely looked like she was on deaths door, regardless of what she was she became a disgusting junkie...hard to say "will be missed" because what I saw that was good about her seems to have fled the scene some years ago.

I guess I'll throw out the R.I.P.
Surely some very pissed off dealers right now.

I never really listened to her music, but I always though this song was bad-ass:

At any rate, it's a sad story and a real shame.

Yeah, I think it is a shame. She was very talented but obviously very emotionally damaged as well...sometimes.

It isn't the drugs that are the problem but simply having no support when the pleasure/pain scale of drug usage becomes exclusively tipped towards pain.

Seeing the Facebook posts about how she stupid and "just another dead crackhead" make me sick. How can these people who have acheived nothing and think about nothing of any substance (I know these people) just disregard someone simply because they turned to drugs to deal with their problems? They probably don't even know...but it's all okay because seven people have "liked" it.

RIP

Linda Christian, the Hollywood actress of the 1940s and heartthrob Tyrone Power’s second wife, who became the first Bond girl, died on Friday in Palm Springs, California.

Christian, 87, who passed away on Friday, was suffering from colon cancer, Romina Power, Christian’s daughter said.

Linda Christian was born to a Dutch oil executive and his German-Mexican wife on November 13, 1923, in Tampico, Mexico. According to reports, Christian who traveled the world with her parents was fluent in seven languages.

Christian pursued her career in acting in Los Angeles and signed a contract with MGM. Her film debut was with Danny Kaye in the 1944 musical comedy "Up In Arms".

Christian eventually started working in supporting roles in some of the productions, among them Robert Florey's "Tarzan and the Mermaids" (1948) and Richard Fleischer's "The Happy Time" (1952), Alt Film Guide reported.

Christian in 1949 married heartthrob Tyrone Power, one of Hollywood's most popular leading men and got divorced in 1956.

Life magazine labeled Christian as the "anatomic bomb."

She starred as James Bond's love interest in the television production of "Casino Royale" in 1954 starring Barry Nelson as James Bond.

Giovanna Lenzi's Delitti and Sergio Pastore's Amore inquieto di Maria were the last two films roles of Christian in 1987.

Christian is survived by Romina Power, Taryn Power and eight grandchildren.

It is a great shame about Amy. Not for me - I wasn't a fan of her music and didn't know her personally (I'm sure it would have come up before now if I did!) Even so, at the end of it she was just a young woman with friends and relatives. She made some terrible choices, but even so.

Actor, NFL star Bubba Smith dies at age 66

Policy Academy actor and NFL star Bubba Smith was found dead at his Baldwin Hills home yesterday, according to Los Angeles County coroner's spokesman Ed Winter.

Winter told AP he didn't know the circumstances or cause of death. Police spokesman Richard French added the death does not appear to be suspicious.

As an actor his most memorable role was playing Moses Hightower, the soft-spoken officer in the Police Academy films. He also appeared in such television series as Good Times, Charlie's Angels, and Half Nelson, and was a regular in Miller Lite commercials featuring retired players.

Annette Charles, best known for her saucy role as Cha Cha in Grease, died last night in Los Angeles due to complications from cancer, her rep confirmed.

Charles, who will always be remembered for outdancing all of Rydell High with John Travolta, was 63-years-old.

According to TMZ, "Annette had recently started having difficulty breathing ... and when she went to the doctor she learned that she had a cancerous tumor in one of her lungs."

Mary Cardona, who spoke with Access Hollywood, confirmed that her daughter died in her home in Los Angeles after being hospitalized for one month. This is the second Grease star this year that that has died, following Jeff Conway’s death in May, who was known for his role as Kenickie.

Fans will remember the sexy star delivering her most famous line from the 1978 flick, when she showed up at a Rydell High dance and won the nationally televised competition with Travolta, aka, T-Bird leader Danny Zuko.

"They call me Cha Cha. Because I'm the best dancer at St. Bernadette's," she says.

After her dance career and role on the big screen, Charles went on to teach speech at California State University.

In 2002, Charles, the ultimate hand-jiver and creator of the danceoff, revisited her character in a VH-1 Where Are They Now? special.
