The Possession (2012) I thought it was ok but wasn't too impressed seemed a bit average.

I watched Frankenstein's Army recently, fun movie, my expectations were pretty low though, so that probably made it seem better than it deserved. They really, really should have ditched the found footage angle of the movie, that would have helped it immeasurably. I generally don't object to the found footage framing device unlike many other people, but there has to be a reason why the story should be told in that format. Frankenstein's Army does not justify it's found footage perspective at all, in fact it undermines it. Anyone who knows anything about film in that era knows that the Russians didn't have color film at that point in time, nor did anyone have cameras with built in microphones, now did any cameras shoot in a 1.77 aspect ratio, nor would the film have had that fine of a image in terms of grain, nor would that much film would have been easy to lug around, nor would the shutters or film sensitivity back then would have allowed them to film in dimly lit areas, and so on and so on. For me, it doesn't hurt the movie too much, as this is a silly film, and it is chiefly about the monsters and bloody carnage, and in that department it delivers. There are a lot of great and inventive monsters in this movie. It felt like the later stages of a Wolfenstein game. For me, that's a good thing, but I could see why others would want more. I don't care that the story and characters are thin because I expected that going in. In the end, for me it's a good movie that could have been better, but at least it had its priorities straight.

Anyone see Reverb? I heard it may be in the same vein?
Yes very true, I know I may seem clueless when I ask this but what does NOTL stand for? I'm pretty clueless as of right now, lol!

The last movie I watched however was Re-Animator and I enjoyed it! =)
8/10

Thumb resize.

SPLIT SECOND 1992

Rutger Hauer stars in a futuristic (2008!) London besieged with flooding caused by global warming. He's a cop with a mission tracking a homicidal creature responsible for the death of his partner. Its full of over used themes, lot's of over acting which I think is intentional, but not a bad way to pass the time.

Nine Dead

I have to admit, I really didnt think I would enjoy this at all but, wow I was surprised. Besides the horrible acting of Clarissa (melissa joan hart) this movie really kept me interested throughout the entire film.

"Proxy" 4/10

Slow ass movie. I mean insultingly slow. Not only did the story move on at snail pace but also the camera work from time to time had me believe the movie had paused itself. That's....bad.

Well, the good thing i can say about Proxy is you have no idea who the main character is and where this movie is going. In fact, you keep wondering wtf is going on untill the credits starts to roll. Also, the acting is quite good.

"Death Clique" 7/10

I went into this movie knowing nothing about it, which was a really good thing. Coz already at the 34 minute mark my jaw hit the floor hard. Harder than in Proxy. I also thought it was a good story that was told really well, except for the timeline. The turn of events just happened unbelievably fast. The movie was aslo very well acted, especially by the 3 girls.

"Hateship Loveship" 4/10

Not even a great cast could save this odd but dull love story.

"Death Do Us Part" 1/10

Pure garbage. The kind of slasher you've seen better a 100 times before. Nothing new, nothing interesting. Annoying characters, bad dialogue and the acting wasn't much better for the most part. Only positive thing I can say is the right person survived.

"Here Comes the Devil" 7/10

The title makes it sound like a comedy. It certainly isn't. Probably just bad translation of the Mexican title"

Started out nicely with a hot sex scene (why I have no idea) followed by brutality, followed by another hot sex scene. For the next 60 minutes the movie just got better and better and could really have been great if it hadn't been for the last 20-30 minutes and a really disappointing ending. Another thing that bothered me was the horrible police work after the childrens reappearance. Nobody bothered to investigate that cave even tho it was
obvious something traumatising had happened there. Stupid.

"Perfect Sisters" 2-3/10

A not very interesting story told even less interesting with 2 very uninteresting lead characters. Also, the whole thing is made as a teen movie with lots of cringeworthy moments even tho the subject is quite heavy. The acting isn't very convincing either except from James Russo. No I don't think the millions of fans of Twilight and The Hunger Games will like this one. Why would they??

If the story had begun where this movie ended it would have been a completely different story. Maybe even a good one.
