Black Adder. X-Files stand alone episodes were excellent, but I found the main running story to be boring.

this is tough for me - black adder is probably the funniest sitcom in history (at least IMHO). but i remember watching kolchak as a kid and it really sparked my love of horror.
SO - since this is HDC i'll vote KOLCHAK

kolchak was great, one of those shows my dad got me into when i was little. I love xfiles and blackadder but not nearly as much.
