Kong cause I actually laughed my ass off at how bad it was (effects wise). Brilliant story though.

That's too bad. I look at King Kong (1933) as having still some of the most brilliantly inventive effects of all time. In the context of its time, its lightyears ahead of anything else. And it was a hell of a lot more difficult than slapping CGI on something.

Anyway, I still salute the effects.
